Blumat Classics - 3-pack - Automatic Plant Watering Stakes

    Out of stock

Description The main reason houseplants die is from improper watering, mainly from overwatering but also from not enough water. Blumat is made in Austria, a trusted brand that has been creating high quality watering solutions since 1965. Blumat Watering Systems keep your houseplants watered. Simple, efficient, and easy to install; your plants can take care of themselves while you are on vacation or otherwise busy with the rest of your life. Let Your Plants Look After Themselves! Never Over or Under-Water Again Blumat Classics function simply, using a siphon to pull water from a reservoir into a container, emitting it through the porous ceramic cone. Austrian-Engineered plant stakes that are superior in design, material quality, and durability. Details Take a vacation and let your plants look after themselves. Blumat Plant Savers ensure a constant supply of water. They automatically supply just the right amount - never too much or not enough. Your plants will love it. They won't experience the drying out that stunts growth or the over-watering that squeezes the air out of the soil and keeps them from "breathing" properly. As the soil dries, the ceramic cone delivers water gradually into the surrounding earth - thereby creating a vacuum within the cone which draws water from the nearby container of water. Once the soil is moistened the Blumat Junior will cease flowing water. It waters your plants only as needed. You can even add fertilizer to the water supply. This slow, continual feeding encourages prolific growth. Blumat Juniors will only draw water up 12 inches (30cm). If the surface of the water in your container is lower than this, the flow of water will be restricted and the plants gradually dry out. Each Blumat Jr. has a limit on how fast it can deliver water. Several cones may be necessary for larger plants in order to meet the higher water needs. In this case, a larger reservoir of water must also be available. Instructions Step 1 Fill a bowl with water. Remove the top of the Blumat. Put both the top and ceramic cone into the bowl for at least 15 minutes. Submerge the ceramic cones. Step 2 Remove the cone from the water, while keeping it as full of water as possible. Secure the green cap on top. Step 3 Push the ceramic cone into the soil. Place the anchor on the far end of the 3mm tubing into a reservoir. How does it work? As the soil dries, the ceramic cone delivers water gradually into the surrounding earth - thereby creating a vacuum within the cone which draws water from the nearby container of water. Once the soil is moistened the Blumat will cease flowing water. It waters your plants only as needed. Adjust Water Flow   If the Blumat is over-watering your plant, you can place the reservoir lower (relative to the Blumat). The reservoir can be as far as 12″ below the Blumat while still watering your plant, albeit slowly. If the Blumat is under-watering your plant, you can raise the reservoir relative to the Blumat. The higher the reservoir, the faster the flow rate. The ceramic cone is porous and allows water to be absorbed and released when placed in wet and dry mediums. The bigger the reservoir/container of water, the longer they water your houseplants. Works for all Types of Plants For cactus or plants that need less water, lower the reservoir to even (or below) the plant to only allow watering when the medium is almost completely dry. • Blumat Bottle Adapter Plant Watering Stakes - 3 Pack

Blumat Bottle Adapter Plant Watering Stakes - 3 Pack

Description Much better than the wine bottle versions because Blumats are so much easier to refill: just cut the bottom off plastic bottle and fill with your regular watering can. (No reason to go back and forth from your sink so many times.) Better than the globe spikes because these disperse the water evenly, not just through a hole in the bottom. Just fit this adapter into almost any standard plastic bottle, fill the bottle with water and push into the soil near a plant. The porous cone will slowly start to distribute water throughout the day. The regular size does about 200 milliliters (.43 pint) during a 24-hour period.
