Questions About Gravity Grow Tent Kits

Which kit should I choose for my grow?

Choose the kit that matches your growing layout. Use the pot count and container-size ranges shown on each card for pots, the 4×4 Grow Bed kit for a bed, or the 2×4 AquaMAT for compatible pots and propagation.

How high do I need to raise the reservoir?

Place the bottom of the reservoir at least 3 feet 6 inches above the top of the soil for these Blumat gravity systems. Measure from the bottom so the system has enough pressure even as the water level falls. Support the full reservoir securely.

Should I choose with or without a reservoir?

Choose with a reservoir if you need the kit’s reservoir. Choose without a reservoir if you already have a suitable one. Your reservoir still needs enough elevation and compatible outlet connections.

Do I need electricity, a pump, or a timer?

No. The elevated reservoir supplies water pressure, and the Blumat sensors control watering as the soil dries. You still need to refill the reservoir and check the system regularly.

Do the preset sensors still need setup?

Yes. The preset sensors have two reference marks: silver for high pressure and gold for gravity pressure. For gravity, use the supplied key to open the sensor a quarter turn to the gold mark. This one-time adjustment puts the sensor at its intended gravity setting, ready to maintain moisture in the sweet spot from the start.

Should I use a moisture meter with my kit?

A moisture meter helps you check conditions below the soil surface and confirm that the system is maintaining the range you want. Take readings at a consistent depth and follow the pattern over time rather than judging the system from one reading.

Can I expand my kit later?

Yes. You can add compatible sensors, tubing, and watering components as your grow changes. Added plants increase water demand, so check reservoir capacity, height, and supply-line capacity before expanding. Contact us for help choosing the additions.
