Water a bed up to 2 × 4 feet with preset Blumat control and gravity-fed BluSoak. An elevated reservoir supplies water without a pump or timer.
Choose with or without a reservoir. Both options include the reservoir connection fittings.

Reservoir Options＋
With reservoir: includes the kit’s reservoir.
Without reservoir: use your own suitable reservoir. The kit still includes the reservoir connection fittings. The reservoir is the item left out.
Your own reservoir needs two ½-inch holes for the supplied connections.
How It Works＋
The elevated reservoir supplies water pressure. As the soil dries, the Blumat sensor opens the water flow. As moisture returns, it closes the flow. The BluSoak distribution distributes water through the growing area.
The system waters according to soil moisture, so there is no timer schedule to program.
Setup Notes＋
- Place the bottom of the reservoir at least 3 feet 6 inches above the top of the soil. Measure from the reservoir’s bottom so it retains head height as the water level falls.
- Support the reservoir securely and refill it as needed.
- Follow the supplied preset-sensor instructions and use the gravity reference setting.
- Start with evenly moist growing media and make good contact between the ceramic sensor tip and the soil.
- Check water delivery and soil moisture after installation. Test well before leaving.
Frequently Asked Questions＋
Do I need a pump, timer or electricity?
No. These gravity kits use an elevated reservoir and Blumat control. You still need to refill the reservoir and check the system.
Does “preset” mean I can skip setup?
No. Sustainable Village presets the sensors to simplify the starting adjustment. Follow the instructions for your water source, install the sensors correctly, and check how the system waters.
How long will the reservoir last?
That depends on reservoir capacity and plant demand. Measure water use in your own setup before relying on it while away.
Can I use a pressurized water source?
These options are gravity kits. Contact Sustainable Village to confirm the pressure control and connection parts needed for a hose bib or pump.
