Keep your hands off my Blumats! This Blumat Protective cap prevents unintentional adjustments to the moisture level dial. Great for fending off children, pets, wild animals, or well intentioned employees.It takes some time and some skill to dial Blumats in just right. After you find the ideal soil moisture content, you adjust the valve based on growing medium, size of plants and pot, number of distribution dripper, temperatures, etc.So after finding the ideal setting, it can be very frustrating if a young child or curious co-worker comes along and plays with them, changing your settings. This protective cap will make that much less likely to happen - just snap on top of the valve dial. It comes off again but not too easily, enough to dissuade misguided tampering.

Description This replacement brown cap is what goes on top of the Tropf Blumat sensor and is essential for the function of the Blumat carrot. This small brown cap allows you to adjust the flow rate of the Blumat, but more importantly also serves as a critical function in making sure to stop the water when the carrot senses that it is wet enough. If you lose or break this small essential piece, your Bluamt sensor will no longer serve its function so make sure to replace it with this replacement piece.
