If you need to be gone for a longer time, just use a common 5 gallon carboy like used in drinking water dispensers. It won't look as good but can keep your plants happy for 1-2 months.   The bulkhead fitting and valve attach to a 8mm supply line (sold separately) that circulates around your plants. Any place you need watering, just cut the line with scissors, push the two ends of the tee attached to either the regular or XL Classic, and push the Classic into your potting mix. You can change the amount of water supplied by raising or lowering the jar.
