Gravity BluSoak Drip Tape is a porous, continuous-emitting tape designed for gravity-fed Blumat irrigation systems. Water moves slowly through micropores along the entire surface of the tape, providing gentle, even hydration across raised beds, garden beds, and large containers. For gravity-fed systems using an elevated reservoir. Do not use with a 7.25 PSI or 15 PSI pressure reducer; excessive pressure can damage the white porous tape. Previously called BluSoak 2.0. The product has not changed—only the name has been simplified to make pressure compatibility clearer. Pressure & Water Source Requirements Designed for gravity-fed irrigation from an elevated reservoir For gravity systems, position the bottom of the reservoir approximately 3½ feet or more above the soil surface Not compatible with the 7.25 PSI or 15 PSI pressure reducers For systems operating from 10–15 PSI, choose High-Pressure BluSoak instead This product is loose tape only. A Blumat sensor, fittings, supply line, and water-source connection are sold separately. How It Works Gravity BluSoak expands the watering area controlled by a Tropf Blumat sensor. As the soil dries, the sensor opens and allows water into the tape. Water then seeps slowly through the porous material along the full run. When the target soil moisture is restored, the sensor closes automatically. The slow output supports deep, uniform hydration while reducing runoff and evaporation, especially when the tape is installed beneath mulch. Description Connect your BluSoak directly to a 1/2" Male Pipe Thread. Comes with a Valve that allows you to stop water flow. These also work great for putting at the end of your BluSoak line as a flush line, simply open the valve to purge water/air out. Use our 3/4" FHT to 1/2" MPT fittings (IG15620) and connect it directly to your hose.
