Blumat Standard Pressure Reducer 1bar (15psi)
Description TRUE REDUCER - Not a mere flow controller, this brings water pressure down to 15 PSi (1 bar)! EASY TO INSTALL - Screws onto standard hose thread (3/4" input), and ouputs to 8mm tubing! ENDURING - Made from ABS plastic and designed with few points of failure, this is built to last! BLUMAT-READY - Designed specifically for blumat watering systems and 8mm tubing, no tools necessary! AUSTRIAN-ENGINEERED - This high-quality component is designed and manufactured by clever Austrians! Blumat systems need low pressure, much less than comes from normal house water connections. The blumat Pressure Reducer allows for easy integration of a municipal (or otherwise pressurized line, such as from a well) water line into a blumat, blusoak, or easysoak watering system. BEWARE IMPOSTERS! Many pressure reducers are not real pressure reducers at all, but are merely flow controllers, and reduce flow rates. However, reduced flow rates DO NOT necessarily correlate to reduced pressures. This is a true pressure reducer, and will reduce any incoming water (with a maximum pressure input of 87PSi) down to a 15PSi (1 bar) output. This is ideally suited and low enough for blumat systems and their components. Higher pressure will push tubing connections apart, and increase likelihood of flooding. This pressure reducer is extremely easy to use. The input side screws onto a standard 3/4" hose bibb or hose threading, often found on taps outside the home, or even faucets inside the home. The output side (featured with collar) is ideally suited for 8mm tubing (I suggest using our super-flex tubing). This is the size that integrates directly with tropf blumats. This adaptation makes setting up a blumat system from a hose or pressurized line an absolute breeze, and you can install your blumats in seconds. Blumat systems need low pressure, much less than comes from normal house water connections. Some of our kits include one of these but if you'd like to install the other ones or the separate components to a home water system, you'll need one of these Pressure Reducers. In gravity systems you'll also need one if your storage tank is high uphill. In Grow Rooms and Greenhouses with a reservoir for mixing nutrients, you can connect a small pressure pump to this and automatically feed your plants when you water. On one side it adapts to a 3/4" male hose thread and on the other directly to the Blumat 8 mm supply tube. Maximum input pressure is 87 psi.

Blumat Tropf 9" Maxi Sensors - 10 Pack
Description The Tropf-Blumat Maxi acts as a regulator and dripper, just like the standard 5” Tropf-Blumat. This one is 9 inches long though. You put it in the ground 6 - 7.5 inches so it senses the moisture at a deeper level. This is important when your plants get bigger because the regular Blumat sensor might turn the water off too soon. This one might turn it off too soon if your plant still has surface roots. Some growers use both - especially if they are growing in coco or a hydroponic system. The Tropf-Blumat (Drip-Blumat) is a sensor that supplies plants with drips of water via thin tubing. As the soil dries, its natural suction power triggers the opening of the Tropf Blumat allowing the water to flow. When the soil is sufficiently moist, the Tropf Blumat automatically stops. The system functions fully automatically. Every plant, every container or group of plants requires at least 1 Tropf-Blumat adjusted to the individual needs of the plant. Larger containers or surfaces require longer or more than one sensor. All Tropf-Blumats are connected using one supply tube, this allows for flexibility in the layout and is changeable at any time. Automatically waters individual plants and only when needed. There are a few options for a water source; you can either connect the system directly to your hose tap or rain barrel (with fittings not supplied with this product). Blumat XL Classic Plant Watering Stakes
Description High capacity Blumat Juniors XL - for tropical and larger plants that need more water. Take a vacation and let your plants look after themselves. Blumat Plant Savers ensure a constant supply of water. They automatically supply just the right amount - never too much or not enough. Your plants will love it. They won't experience the drying out that stunts growth or the over-watering that squeezes the air out of the soil and keeps them from "breathing" properly. As the soil dries, the ceramic cone delivers water gradually into the surrounding earth - thereby creating a vacuum within the cone which draws water from the nearby container of water. Once the soil is moistened the Blumat Junior will cease flowing water. It waters your plants only as needed. You can even add fertilizer to the water supply. This slow, continual feeding encourages prolific growth. Blumat Juniors will only draw water up 12 inches (30cm). If the surface of the water in your container is lower than this, the flow of water will be restricted and the plants gradually dry out. Each Blumat Jr. has a limit on how fast it can deliver water. Several cones may be necessary for larger plants in order to meet the higher water needs. In this case, a larger reservoir of water must also be available. Detailed Instructions: 1. Fill a bowl with water. Remove the top of the Blumat Jr. Put both the top and ceramic cone into the bowl to soak for at least 15 minutes. 2. Holding the cone and cap underwater, knock out the air bubbles in each piece and press the top on tightly. 3. Push the ceramic cone completely into the soil. Extra large plants should be provided with two or three cones. 4. Put the hose right to the bottom of a full container of water. Add a little liquid fertilizer if necessary. 5. The level of water in the container should be level with or below the green cap. Raising or lowering the water container increases or reduces the flow rate. Maintenance: Once a year, place the hose in hot water. Clean the inside of the ceramic cone with a brush and the outside with sandpaper or a pot scrubber type pad. Tips If you intend to be away from home for any length of time, ensure that the water container is large enough. Depending on type, size and season, a plant will require 1/4 to 1 litre (1 qt.) of water weekly. Delivery of water to the soil in the flower pots is automatic. If you do not refill the water container the Blumat Jr. will dry out. To restore the function, the Blumat Jr. must be refilled. (Follow steps 1-5).

Blumat XL Gravity Kit - Automatic Watering Irrigation System for up to 40 Plants
Description This kit, like the more common Blumat XL pressure kit, is tuned for gravity-fed systems rather than a pressure system, which means it's also electricity-free. It does not include a pressure regulator, but it does come with 2 thru-hull adapters (for connecting to a reservoir), an on/off valve, and an extra Tee splitter. This way, you can easily incorporate the recommended loop method into your system (instructions included.) If you love plants, you'll love these Blumat kits. From a reservoir, this one will easily water two, 4'x8' raised beds or a large combination of plants in pots, planter boxes, or various landscaping. 40 Blumat sensors will ensure that your crops are properly watered - even when you're not home! Installation instructions Increase your yields and decrease grow times. Our fully-automatic, self-watering systems save time, water, and nutrients - and still ensure healthier, more potent, and faster-growing crops. Perfect for landscapers and home gardeners. This kit includes forty 5" carrots and all the parts required for a gravity-fed system. Reservoirs should be at least 3' above ground-level. The Tropf Blumat system is great for watering balcony boxes, planters, hanging baskets, and row crops. It fulfills the needs of the plants on an individual basis, regardless of their location, light levels, or plant type. Our systems save your plants from excessive and improper watering. Tropf Blumat systems are ideal for plant groupings that require consistent moisture, such as vegetable gardens, bushes, flower beds, grow bags and greenhouse containers. Not only do your plants receive the right amount of water, slow and consistent dripping ensures that your plants receive warmed water, avoiding shock. How it works The Tropf Blumat self-watering system functions automatically. As the soil dries, a vacuum and hydro-static pressure, coupled with a spring-loaded gating mechanism, pulls water from the main line. When the soil is sufficiently moist, pressures equalize, and the Tropf Blumat automatically stops taking in water. PLEASE NOTE: This system does not include a water source. Responsive Drip Irrigation (RDI) BluSoak 2.0 Drip Tape
Description The BluSoak 2.0 when placed on the surface of soil or another growing medium ensures effective irrigation. This tape can be connected to Tropf Blumats and requires no electricity, batteries, timers or controllers. Without electricity, batteries, timers or controllers; BluSoak 2.0 connected to a Tropf Blumat will assure automatic, even irrigation while minimizing water and nutrient use. It saves time, water, labor, and nutrients while increasing yields and plant health. How it works: In order to compromise between extreme performance and high cost, the BluSoak drip tape was introduced as a component to extend the watering ability and distribution of each Tropf Blumat sensor. BluSoak drip tape finds a balance between the highest level of performance and the lowest costs possible. Water leaks out at an extremely slow rate which can almost completely stop water loss from evaporation if under a good mulch. Because the water goes so slowly, it goes deeper instead of horizontally away from the roots. And because it goes deeper, the roots go deeper giving the plants access to nutrients usually below their reach. It makes the plants stronger, more drought tolerant, and increases yields. Due to its porous material the drip tape emits water at an extremely slow pace along its entire surface through billions of micropores. By placing the tubing on the ground alongside the plants, the drip tape slowly emits water into the soil that gradually is absorbed onto the root zone. Because moisture levels are kept at an optimal range, plant productivity and quality improve. The BluSoak 2.0 is able to irrigate all different types of crops with different types of water demands. This is a solution to gardens with high square footage and/or canopy space that want to utilize Blumat technology. BluSoak tape systems are ideal for garden beds, raised beds, and other large volumes of soil or growing media. This can provide the ideal moisture levels and growing environments for high square footage and canopy spaces, greenhouses, traditional garden beds, living soil, and many unique cultivation challenges. This method of combining Blumats with BluSoak 2.0 results in healthier, faster growing, and higher yield harvests due to its water efficiency by delivering water only when the plant requires it.
