Great for fending off children, pets, wild animals, or well intentioned employees.It takes some time and some skill to dial Blumats in just right. After you find the ideal soil moisture content, you adjust the valve based on growing medium, size of plants and pot, number of distribution dripper, temperatures, etc.So after finding the ideal setting, it can be very frustrating if a young child or curious co-worker comes along and plays with them, changing your settings. This protective cap will make that much less likely to happen - just snap on top of the valve dial. It comes off again but not too easily, enough to dissuade misguided tampering.

The blumat Pressure Reducer allows for easy integration of a municipal (or otherwise pressurized line, such as from a well) water line into a blumat, blusoak, or easysoak watering system. BEWARE IMPOSTERS! Many pressure reducers are not real pressure reducers at all, but are merely flow controllers, and reduce flow rates. However, reduced flow rates DO NOT necessarily correlate to reduced pressures.
