This can be used as a solar water pump and is ideal for wells, making it the an ideal solution for off-grid living, homesteading, gardening, and more. This trusted shurflo water pump is rated to 1.9 gallons per minute at 24V. The pump diaphragm is constructed of santoprene. This is a highly durable material that behaves like rubber, but performs at a higher level. well hand pump(s) won't even compare to this solar submersible pump! This model can even be used as an industrial water pump. The cable connector is impervious to water leakage and condensation! The valves are made of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber for high durability and consistent performance. This pump is capable of outputting water at 100PSi, which is enough to gain a significant amount of lift (do not use this pump with wells over 100' deep). The pump runs at 100W. It can also be used with 12V solar panels, and just runs at a lower output than using 24V. This is totally capable of being run on normal electrical sources, or for use as a solar well pump. Get started using Blumats with our simple, low-cost Starter Kit. If you only have a few plants or you'd like to learn how Blumats work before converting over to a larger system, this kit is just right for you. This kit is made for a gravity-fed system (does not include fittings to attach to a hose bib or pressure system). Increase your yields and decrease grow times. Our fully-automatic, self-watering systems save time, water, and nutrients - and still ensure healthier, more potent, and faster-growing crops. Our starter kits are perfect for landscapers and home gardeners. They're easily installed with a pair of scissors and connect directly to your hose, tap, or rain barrel with the help of the Pressure Reducer. Includes ten 5” carrots and all parts required for a gravity-fed system. Reservoirs should be at least 3' above ground-level. An optional Pressure Regulator attached to garden hose or faucet can provide enough water for up to 500 Blumat Carrots (See 'Related Products'). If your reservoir does not have a thru-hull installed, you will have to drill a hole into your reservoir bucket and install a thru-hull piece. For our customers' convenience, we also sell 5-gallon reservoirs with thru-hulls already installed. The Tropf Blumat system is great for watering balcony boxes, planters, hanging baskets, and row crops. It fulfills the needs of the plants on an individual basis, regardless of their location, light levels, or plant type. Our systems save your plants from excessive and improper watering. Each Blumat Outdoor Sensor in the Deck and Planter Set covers an area 12 inches in diameter. To expand and customize your own system, add additional Supply Hoses, Outdoor Sensors, and Distributor Drippers. PLEASE NOTE: Tropf Blumat systems do not include a Pressure Reducer. You will need this if you are connecting your system to a threaded spigot, such as your hose/home water supply or the spigot on a rain barrel or reservoir. Much better than the wine bottle versions because Blumats are so much easier to refill: just cut the bottom off plastic bottle and fill with your regular watering can. (No reason to go back and forth from your sink so many times.) Better than the globe spikes because these disperse the water evenly, not just through a hole in the bottom. Just fit this adapter into almost any standard plastic bottle, fill the bottle with water and push into the soil near a plant. The porous cone will slowly start to distribute water throughout the day. The regular size does about 200 milliliters (0.43 pints) during a 24-hour period.
