Description Use this capillary mat in the center with a top or perforated foil on the top and some regular plastic sheeting under it. Cut to any size, quickly make 4x8, 4x10, or 4x5' sets. In trays under houseplants it evens out the moisture and encourages roots to grow down instad in a spiral. In seed starting trays it helps keep the seeds and seedlings from getting either to dry to to wet. Description Celcon Globe Valve 3/4" Globe Valves Globe valves tend to be hard to find because they reduce pressure much more than gate or ball valves. That's what makes them ideal for BluSoak systems that like very low pressure. The flow restrictors do this but only work if pressure is at least 10 psi. So to keep the pressure at 3 psi and prevent flooding if a Blumat sensor valve "runs away," you can use a globe valve and manometer. Open the Blumat all the way and turn the globe valve down until water in the manometer goes up to about 7 feet. Clear Bowl, 8mm (filter only, not for individual sale)
A relatively inexpensive but still high quality and easy-to-use filter. Because of the clear base, you can quickly see if it's getting dirty and you can clean it out without having to unhook your lines. Includes adapters going to 8 mm Blumat line so to install, just cut the line and push the tubing on to the adapters! If your water isn't clean or you'd like to use thick nutrients in a reservoir, this filter will keep your Blumats safe. The screen has just the right mesh - not too big that could let clogging particles through or too small that would mean unnecessary cleaning. Clear bases make it easier to tell if they need to be cleaned but best only in dark rooms. White bases better to prevent algae build-up. For the same price, we can also ship this with fittings for 1/2" drip, 3/8" drip, 1/2" & 3/4" slip PVC. Dosatron Pressure Pump Kit for Blumat Systems
Want to use Dosatron products with Blumats? No problem! Inspired by our friends out in Oregon at High Wind Farms we built this kit. Blumat systems generally operate at very low flow rates. This is an advantage over other watering systems for many reasons. However, low flow rates prevent the use of dosing systems like a Dosatron because they have minimum flow rate requirements to operate properly. By placing the Dosatron between a high flow pump and a pressure accumulator tank, the issue is solved.The pressure switch on the pump turns itself on and off as pressure levels in the accumulator tank drop. This creates bursts of high flow through the Dosatron at appropriate flow rate levels. The tank fills with nutrient mix and feeds itself through a pressure reducer into the Blumat system, maintaining constant pressure. Nutrient solution is then available to plants as they need it, 24 hours per day.
