BLUMAT 8mm SHUT-OFF VALVE - Packaged
Description BLUMAT-READY - These valves are ready to be installed in-line in 8mm tubing in seconds! EASY CONTROL - Turn on/off water supply at the turn of a valve to your whole blumat system! HIGH QUALITY/ENDURING - Made simply & w/ care by Blumats you trust, you can expect these to last! PURGE - These work perfectly at the end of 8mm tubing to purge air and/or debris from the line! AUSTRIAN-MADE - Leave it to the Austrians to design and engineer such a foolproof device! These shut-off (or on/off) valves from Blumat brand are the quarter-turn valves you've been looking for! These valves are ideal for blumat watering systems. They can be installed in-line in any 8mm tubing, but we recommend super-flex. Simply remove the collar, and place the collar over the 8mm tubing. Then slide the tubing over the 8mm barb, screw on the threaded collar, and you are in a perfect position to irrigate your plants! These can be used to turn on/off water supply to your entire garden, or just branches of your garden (or even individual plants, plant rows, etc.--your imagination is the limit!). PLOT TWIST: These blumat fittings can also be used as purge valves. A purge valve is used to remove air, particulate matter, or other debris from a water supply line. This can be accomplished in two different ways. One is simply by concluding an 8mm tubing or line with one of these valves. The valve will remain closed 99% of the time, but should be opened if air/debris is suspected in the tubing. The air and/or debris will flow out of the tubing when the valve is opened. The second way to install a purge valve in a blumat watering system is by cutting in the middle of a "loop" design, installing a 3-way 8mm Tee fitting, and installing one of these valves on the open-end of the tee. Simply open the valve to "purge" or clear your lines.

Blumat 8mm Tees - bulk
Description These tees are great for branching a side line of Blumats off in a different direction. They're also really good for the middle of a loop in a hydroponic and/or grow room. If you use one of these and a valve, it makes it easy to let air and sediment out before it can cause problems.

Blumat Bottle Adapter Plant Watering Stakes - 12 Pack
Description Much better than the wine bottle versions because Blumats are so much easier to refill: just cut the bottom off plastic bottle and fill with your regular watering can. (No reason to go back and forth from your sink so many times.) Better than the globe spikes because these disperse the water evenly, not just through a hole in the bottom. Just fit this adapter into almost any standard plastic bottle, fill the bottle with water and push into the soil near a plant. The porous cone will slowly start to distribute water throughout the day. The regular size does about 200 milliliters (.43 pint) during a 24-hour period. The XL, larger size does about 300 milliliters (.63 pint). Guide to Bottle Adapter & Glass Globes

Blumat GmbH & Co. KG Blumat Bulkhead Filter
This new Blumat input filter fits on the Blumat Bulkhead Through-Hull Tank Connector, inside the reservoir and keeps sediment and leaves from getting into your supply line. It doesn’t fit on the older tank connectors we had before August 2023 though. The new ones (on the right in the picture below) have two tabs on the sides and a 6-sided jut on the input side, where the old ones have two parallel lines. An inexpensive "insurance policy," this could save you quite a bit of headache if your water doesn't always stay clean.

Blumat Classic Vacation Irrigation Watering Kit
Description Traveling or too many plants without enough time to take care of them? Blumat Classics can take care of them for you and make everyone think you have a "green thumb." This kit can water up to 12 plants and you can easily extend it for more. Without batteries, timers, electricity, or even a conventional water source, Blumat Classics siphon water from a reservoir into the plant containers. They give the plants water slowly through a porous ceramic cone so you won’t worry about squeezing the important air pockets out of the potting mix, under, or over-watering. Just place each cone in the potting soil, and connect to the provided main line attached to the reservoir. You can also add more Classics to the main 8mm line or add another kit and second bulkhead fitting to the same bucket to extend the number of plants. This specific kit can water up to 10 days minimum, 20 days max. Click here to read/download instructions.

Blumat Classics - Automatic Plant Watering Stakes
Description Take a vacation and let your plants look after themselves. Blumat Classic Plant Savers ensure a constant supply of water. They automatically supply just the right amount - never too much or not enough. Your plants will love it. They won't experience the drying out that stunts growth or the over-watering that squeezes the air out of the soil and keeps them from "breathing" properly. As the soil dries, the ceramic cone delivers water gradually into the surrounding earth - thereby creating a vacuum within the cone which draws water from the nearby container of water. Once the soil is moistened the Blumat will cease flowing water. It waters your plants only as needed. You can even add fertilizer to the water supply. This slow, continual feeding encourages prolific growth. Blumat Classic will only draw water up 12 inches (30cm). If the surface of the water in your container is lower than this, the flow of water will be restricted and the plants gradually dry out. Each Blumat has a limit on how fast it can deliver water. Several cones may be necessary for larger plants in order to meet the higher water needs. In this case, a larger reservoir of water must also be available. Detailed Instructions: 1. Fill a bowl with water. Remove the top of the Blumat Put both the top and ceramic cone into the bowl to soak for at least 15 minutes. 2. Holding the cone and cap underwater, knock out the air bubbles in each piece and press the top on tightly. 3. Push the ceramic cone completely into the soil. Extra large plants should be provided with two or three cones. 4. Put the hose right to the bottom of a full container of water. Add a little liquid fertilizer if necessary. 5. The level of water in the container should be level with or below the green cap. Raising or lowering the water container increases or reduces the flow rate. Maintenance: Once a year, place the hose in hot water. Clean the inside of the ceramic cone with a brush and the outside with sandpaper or a pot scrubber type pad. Tips If you intend to be away from home for any length of time, ensure that the water container is large enough. Depending on type, size and season, a plant will require 1/4 to 1 litre (1 qt.) of water weekly. Delivery of water to the soil in the flower pots is automatic. If you do not refill the water container the Blumat will dry out. To restore the function, the Blumat Jr. must be refilled. (Follow steps 1-5).

Blumat Distibution Drippers (Ten) + 2m of Drip tube - 2 Pack
Description These are great for watering long plant beds, planter boxes, and giving large plants an even amount of water in a circle around them. They connect to a Tropf-Blumat or a Maxi. This is less expensive than adding more sensors but you may need to add a filter to your system if you use nutrients in your water so they don't clog. Two barbs let you connect tubing on both sides of the dripper for up to five drip locations from one Tropf-Blumat (dripper chain). The end-distributor dripper has a drip nozzle on one side only for use as the end piece in a dripper chain. You can go as far as 100 cm (39") from the sensor with these and they water about 20 cm wide (8"). Minimum pressure to use them like this is 4.5 psi. You can go down as low as 2 psi but the last dripper or two might not put out much water. By adjusting the black screw on the top, you can use more. In pressure systems, customers report successfully using as many as 25 with just one Blumat sensor.
