  • Blumat Easy + Bottle Adapter

Blumat GmbH & Co. KG Blumat Easy + Bottle Adapter

Much better than the wine bottle versions because Blumats are so much easier to refill: just cut the bottom off plastic bottle and fill with your regular watering can. (No reason to go back and forth from your sink so many times.) Better than the globe spikes because these disperse the water evenly, not just through a hole in the bottom. Just fit this adapter into almost any standard plastic bottle, fill the bottle with water and push into the soil near a plant. The porous cone will slowly start to distribute water throughout the day. The regular size does about 200 milliliters (.43 pints) during a 24-hour period. The XL, larger size does about 300 milliliters (.63 pints). Guide to Bottle Adapter & Glass Globes

  • Seed-Starting Cap Mat/ Thick Mat & top; 2 Sets

    Seed-Starting Cap Mat/ Thick Mat & top; 2 Sets

Seed-starting Cap Mat setsHelp protect and nourish those plants starts, seeds, and clones! The smaller the plant and the less soil or potting mix, the easier to both dry out and get too wet. And when either of those happen, plant momentum slows or stops. Keeping this cap mat set on your trays, under your plants can help prevent both of those problems. If one plant gets too much  water a, it will spread to the water to other ones on the tray. If a plant doesn't get enough, it can share the water from another one that got more than it needs. These come 12" wide by 23" long so they easily fit into a standard 10" x 20" seed-starting tray or anything smaller -- just cut with scissors to fit. The cap mat holds and spreads the water around, the MicroFab goes on top of the mat, under the plants and prevents algae, evaporation, and the roots from growing into the capillary mat.Put water in the tray manually, automatically with a Surface Blumat, a Tropf-Blumat in one of the pots, with a strip of cap mat going to a water source, or with our new Clear Globe connected to a Surface Blumat.Key Benefits  Water comes from bottom so roots grow down instead of staying closer to the surface;  Prevents both under- and overwatering Flexibility -- water different plant types in different sized pots on same bed Move plants on and off without needing to change water lines or emitters Easy set up -- just get water to the bed, don't worry about getting it to the plants Prevents fungal diseases, powdery mildew, and root rot.  Lower water use, little evaporation; can reduce water usage by up to 50% Versatility -- use for everything between a small windowsill to a large commercial operation; from a deluxe automated system to manual, low-cost choices   Increased and uniform growth Low maintenance  Lower costs, less labor

  • Blumat PlantStream Houseplant Kit

    Blumat PlantStream Houseplant Kit

Tired of making endless trips with a heavy watering can? This kit lets you connect to a shower head, garden hose, or faucet— you can water dozens (even hundreds) of plants fast. Just hook it up, stretch out the tubing, and start watering. We use it to water almost 500 plants—much faster and with better results than traditional methods. Includes an on/off valve and multiple adapters to fit common connections:  1/2" pipe thread, male or female 3/4"  threaded pipes, one with a 3/4" FHT, and a versatile fitting with 1/2" FPT x 3/4" MHT &  3/4" MPT. Note: You may need a separate adapter for kitchen sink threads. These kits connect to Blumat and drip systems that already have pressure reducers. Sinks, showers, and long hoses often already have low pressure. You can use hose clamps for medium-high pressure but better to use a real pressure reducer (not just a flow restrictor) if you plan to connect to a water source with more than 15-20 psi.

  • Gravity Irrigation Kit Deluxe

    Gravity Irrigation Kit Deluxe

This deluxe version of our Gravity Irrigation Kit ads 6 more XL Classics, a 12" rain screen for the top, an interior filter, and adapters for a total of 12 as well as a water level indicator that shows how much water is in your reservoir.  You can fill these with rainwater, the water that would normally go down the drain while you're waiting for it to get hot, from a pond, from a garden hose, or any good source. We designed this for a kind of simplicity that can make it extremely easy for people without much time, money, or mechanical skills. It's simple, complete, easy to set up, and inexpensive; but also, creates an easy way almost anyone can help keep more moisture in the ground, lower ambient air temperatures, prevent erosion, and keep the soil and plants more healthy. This represents only a small step in solving these environmental problems but it has solid benefits as well as providing a base learning curve for setting up larger systems in the future.

To complete your system you'll also need an 8mm supply line and a pressurized water source: 8mm Supply Line — runs from your water source to the sensor. See our 8mm SuperFlex Supply Line Kits. Pressurized Source (hose bib or pump) — requires a Pressure Reducer set to 10–15 PSI. Gravity systems will not work with this kit. Straight-Line Layout — Why It Matters + Header-fed straight runs instead of a single woven piece makes a major difference between cycles: Lift the system out, amend your soil, drop it back in Easy reinstall without rebuilding Clean, modular layout with consistent pressure distribution Less frustration when turning over beds between runs What Makes BluSoak Different + Lowest flow rate compatible with Blumat control 6-inch emitter spacing for continuous lateral wicking Uniform moisture distribution across the entire bed Thin-wall construction for easy cutting and installation The only tape we've found that consistently performs with pressurized Blumat systems Frequently Asked Questions + Can I use this with a gravity system? No. These kits require 10–15 PSI and are designed for pressurized systems only. Why use straight lines instead of a woven layout?Straight-line layouts are modular and easy to remove, making them ideal for growers who re-amend soil between cycles. What makes this better than standard drip tape?Lower flow rate and tighter emitter spacing allow for even moisture distribution and proper compatibility with Blumat sensors. Do I need a pump?Yes, if running from a reservoir. A pressurized source is required.

  • Sale -15% Be-Here-Now backyard irrigation for 4x8 beds

Be-Here-Now backyard irrigation for 4x8 beds

Be-Here-Now Gardening Kit As inexpensive as traditional drip with benefits: Automatic watering based on soil moisture No timer required No electricity needed Easy set up with minimal tools (only scissors) Maintains the moisture level "sweet spot" – never too wet or too dry Saves time while dramatically increasing harvests Without timers, batteries, or electricity you can water your plants a more natural way by letting the roots decide. The Blumat sensor automatically opens and closes the water flow based on soil moisture.  When you use a  typical drip kit or hand water, you have to guess how much water the plants need. As the season progresses, the plants get bigger and the temperature gets warmer, and your guesses mismatch more and more. The plants cycle between drowning and drying out too much.  This kit responds in the here-and-now to what the plants need. You can do the same rather than worrying about the past mistakes or the future watering needs.
