Blumat Bottle Adapter XL Plant Watering Stakes for Large Plants - 4 Pack XL
Much better than the wine bottle versions because Blumats are so much easier to refill: just cut the bottom off plastic bottle and fill with your regular watering can. (No reason to go back and forth from your sink so many times.) Better than the globe spikes because these disperse the water evenly, not just through a hole in the bottom. Indoor Blumat Classic Kit
Our indoor kit features six Blumat stakes. These Blumats ensure a constant supply of water to your indoor plants. They automatically supply just the right amount -never too much or too little. Your plants won't experience any drying out that stunts growth or over-watering that squeezes the air out of the soil and keeps plants from "breathing" properly. As the soil dries, a ceramic cone gradually delivers water into the surrounding dirt, which creates a vacuum within the cone that draws water from a nearby container of water. And once the soil reaches a desired moisture level, the Blumat will stop pulling in water. You can even add fertilizer to the water supply — slow, continual feeding encourages prolific plant growth. Vacation without worrying about watering your plants. Just fill up a container with enough water to last your plants while you're gone - Blumat will do the rest! The screen has just the right mesh - not too big that could let clogging particles through or too small that would mean unnecessary cleaning. Clear bases make it easier to tell if they need to be cleaned but best only in dark rooms. White bases better to prevent algae build-up. For the same price, we can also ship this with fittings for 1/2" drip, 3/8" drip, 1/2" & 3/4" slip PVC. The IRROMETER Model LT (Low Tension) tensiometer was designed to operate in coarse sandy soils and non-soil growing media. With a range of 0-40 centibars (cb) or kilopascals (kPa), this instrument is for use in situations where tensions above 30 cb (kPa) are rarely expected. Gauge increments of 1 cb (kPa) provide a benefit where finer resolution near saturation is needed. This model instrument is also well suited for conditions where rapidly changing soil moisture conditions need to be observed. The "Quick-Flo" ceramic tip is colored blue for easy identification. Model LT IRROMETERS can be used for manual measurement and tracking of soil moisture status in coarse sandy soils and growing media.
