Both elegant and useful, you can use this with the lid when you're home or gone for short times from 1-2 weeks. If you need to be gone for a longer time, just use a common 5 gallon carboy like used in drinking water dispensers. It won't look as good but can keep your plants happy for 1-2 months.   The bulkhead fitting and valve attach to a 8mm supply line (sold separately) that circulates around your plants. Any place you need watering, just cut the line with scissors, push the two ends of the tee attached to either the regular or XL Classic, and push the Classic into your potting mix. You can change the amount of water supplied by raising or lowering the jar. This special dripline compensates for elevation and pressure changes and normally saves you the cost of a pressure reducer. This includes 100' of Apex Pressure Compensating drip line (12" Spacing 0.55GPH), a flushable end, and a 3/4" swivel hose thread beginning. You can cut into smaller sections, get more beginnings or endings; add a coupling (IG16744) and get another roll (IG18755) for longer lines.

Tired of making endless trips with a heavy watering can? This kit lets you connect to a shower head, garden hose, or faucet— you can water dozens (even hundreds) of plants fast. Just hook it up, stretch out the tubing, and start watering. We use it to water almost 500 plants—much faster and with better results than traditional methods. Includes an on/off valve and multiple adapters to fit common connections:  1/2" pipe thread, male or female 3/4"  threaded pipes, one with a 3/4" FHT, and a versatile fitting with 1/2" FPT x 3/4" MHT &  3/4" MPT. Note: You may need a separate adapter for kitchen sink threads. These kits connect to Blumat and drip systems that already have pressure reducers. Sinks, showers, and long hoses often already have low pressure. You can use hose clamps for medium-high pressure but better to use a real pressure reducer (not just a flow restrictor) if you plan to connect to a water source with more than 15-20 psi.

Much better than the wine bottle versions because Blumats are so much easier to refill: just cut the bottom off plastic bottle and fill with your regular watering can. (No reason to go back and forth from your sink so many times.) Better than the globe spikes because these disperse the water evenly, not just through a hole in the bottom. Just fit this adapter into almost any standard plastic bottle, fill the bottle with water and push into the soil near a plant. The porous cone will slowly start to distribute water throughout the day. The regular size does about 200 milliliters (.43 pint) during a 24-hour period. Build your own rainwater catchment reservoir with this 16" strainer and with a bulkhead fitting, quickly set-up your own rainwater irrigation system. Unlike our 5 gallon version that fits on almost all 5 gallon buckets, these fit some, but not all 55 gallon drums. If the opening on your barrel has a hole on the top bigger than 16"  you'll need to either cut a circle for it in the top you have, or in something else that will cover the rest of the reservoir's top -- and you can use these same methods with for almost any size reservoir.
