Although the history of drip irrigation goes back to the Babylonians, modern drip systems represent one of the most important agricultural innovations of all time. They can save over 60% of the water used with flood irrigation, increase yields from 20 to 40%, cut labor costs down to almost zero, decrease the expense of big pumps and high electricity bills, decrease fertilizer costs, and maintain a more constant moisture level that increases microbe and soil health. Because they provide water more slowly, the moisture goes deeper, the roots follow giving them access to more nutrients and making the plants stronger and more healthy.
Description
GrowStream™ Subsurface Irrigation Tape is a plant-responsive subsurface irrigation system that dynamically delivers water and nutrients based upon individual plant demand. This tube is a microporous material that retains water until flow is triggered by plant root exudates. The tubing has no emitters, but releases water along its entire surface through millions of micropores.
The tubing diameter is 0.625 in. (5/8 in.) (16 millimeters) I.D.
Responsive Pressure Range: 1.0-4.0 psi (69-276 mbar)
Recommended Operating Pressure: 1.0-3.0 psi (69-207 mbar)
Maximum Operating Pressure: 6.0 psi (414 mbar)
Flow Rate: 0-0.054 gpm (0.204 l/m) per linear foot
Minimum install depth: 3” (7.6 cm)
GrowStream™ is compatible with virtually all soil types and growing mediums. Soil must be free of debris and sharp objects like rocks and thorns. Sand can be added to the trenches below and around tubing to prevent damage.

Description
This meter is useful for fine tuning low pressure systems. Although hard to find, a gauge with this small range makes it easy to troubleshoot and correct problems with BluSoak and other systems that require less than 5psi. With a higher psi meter, small changes would be almost impossible to detect.

Part of the EasyDrip System, 100 pack at a discounted price
These easy to use Take-Apart drippers have a small locking cap that can be removed for cleaning the inside of the emitter. Where the flag end is, indicates where the actual drip emitter is (where water exits the system). While the barb on the other side is the inlet, where you use the hole puncher to plug into your supply line.
This particular drip emitter can release up to 4 gallons of water per hour. Look at some of our other options for more or less water flow.
Great for low pressure systems!

Description
Super flexible and almost impossible to kink This tubing is more expensive but extremely easy to use. We like to put it after a valve at the end of a loop or line and use it as a handy water source. Being so flexible, it's easy to fill a little container, give a plant a little extra water, etc. It's extruded from a specially formulated silicone with a hardness rating of 60 Shore A and heat stabilized to ensure re-use and can handle temperatures up to 500°F (260C). It's non-staining, reuseable, and we can cut this to the length you need. We also have available by the foot.*Please note that this is not the standard Blumat supply line size. For Blumat systems use 8mm.
