Much better than the wine bottle versions because Blumats are so much easier to refill: just cut the bottom off plastic bottle and fill with your regular watering can. (No reason to go back and forth from your sink so many times.) Better than the globe spikes because these disperse the water evenly, not just through a hole in the bottom. Just fit this adapter into almost any standard plastic bottle, fill the bottle with water and push into the soil near a plant. The porous cone will slowly start to distribute water throughout the day. The regular size does about 200 milliliters (.43 pints) during a 24-hour period. That's what makes them ideal for BluSoak systems that like very low pressure. The flow restrictors do this but only work if pressure is at least 10 psi. The 12 VOLT FAN is meant to accelerate airflow in all non-electric units. It comes pre-installed in an 11" piece of 4" diameter vent pipe so that it will fit inline in your vent stack. It also protects against downdraft and increases the evaporative performance of your non-electric unit by about 10 to 15% (still not enough to evaporate all liquids on an NE). The 2 watt, 12V fan option increases capacity and evaporation for heavy or residential use. Fan option uses 2.4 watts. One Gallon Houseplant-Saver Jar
The most economical Glass version but still looks good and thin enough to hide between or behind plants. The bulkhead fitting and valve attach to 8mm supply line (IG15978, sold separately) that circulates around your plants. Any place you need watering, just cut the line with scissors, push the two ends of the tee attached to either the regular or XL Classic (order separately), and push the Classic into your potting mix.
