Pre-set Blumat 5"
Description A game-changing innovation: pre-set 5" and 9" Blumats These two new products eliminate almost all the problems people have setting up and maintaining Tropf Blumats, save a huge amount of time, and also make it easy to adjust your entire system all at once! Most of the time people spend setting up a Blumat system involves adjusting the sensors - both initially and when you need to make a change. We can do that for you now so all you'll have to do is plug them in. To make small adjustments later to provide more or less water, you can make a 10-second adjustment on an adjustable pressure reducer (if you have one) and change the flow rates for all at once. Both 5" and 9" sensors arrive pre-calibrated with two markings on the brown adjustment dial - one for gravity and one for pressure systems. This new innovation makes Blumats practical for large commercial systems with thousands of plants as well as preventing the most common problems people have while dramatically decreasing setup time for small systems. Pre-calibrated for most soil/media types like living soil, standard potting mixes, coco, and peat; they take most of the work and worry out of the installation! Set just where you want them to be right out of the box. We normally recommend the 9" Maxis in these systems but also make the 5" size for pots smaller than 5 gallons. These all include an installed protective cap to prevent the setting from being accidentally changed. They come with two markings on the brown adjustment dial. Use the red mark for gravity systems and the blue one if you have pressure.

Inline Blumat Classic
Description Take a vacation and let your plants look after themselves. This Blumat Classic includes a Blumat Tee Adapter (8mm x 3mm) to connect others to the same watering line and ensure a constant supply of water. They automatically supply just the right amount - never too much or not enough. Your plants will love it. They won't experience the drying out that stunts growth or the over-watering that squeezes the air out of the soil and keeps them from "breathing" properly. As the soil dries, the ceramic cone delivers water gradually into the surrounding earth - thereby creating a vacuum within the cone which draws water from the nearby container of water. Once the soil is moistened the Blumat will cease flowing water. It waters your plants only as needed. You can even add fertilizer to the water supply. This slow, continual feeding encourages prolific growth. Blumat will only draw water up 12 inches (30cm). If the surface of the water in your container is lower than this, the flow of water will be restricted and the plants gradually dry out. Each Blumat has a limit on how fast it can deliver water. Several cones may be necessary for larger plants in order to meet the higher water needs. In this case, a larger reservoir of water must also be available. Detailed Instructions: 1. Fill a bowl with water. Remove the top of the Blumat Jr. Put both the top and ceramic cone into the bowl to soak for at least 15 minutes. 2. Holding the cone and cap underwater, knock out the air bubbles in each piece and press the top on tightly. 3. Push the ceramic cone completely into the soil. Extra large plants should be provided with two or three cones. 4. Put the hose right to the bottom of a full container of water. Add a little liquid fertilizer if necessary. 5. The level of water in the container should be level with or below the green cap. Raising or lowering the water container increases or reduces the flow rate. Maintenance: Once a year, place the hose in hot water. Clean the inside of the ceramic cone with a brush and the outside with sandpaper or a pot scrubber type pad. Tips If you intend to be away from home for any length of time, ensure that the water container is large enough. Depending on type, size and season, a plant will require 1/4 to 1 litre (1 qt.) of water weekly. Delivery of water to the soil in the flower pots is automatic. If you do not refill the water container the Blumat will dry out. To restore the function, the Blumat must be refilled. (Follow steps 1-5). Overwatering remains the main offender but of course plants also have problems from not watering enough. The slow and automatic water supply from Blumat products make it easy to keep your houseplant watering levels ideal for each particular plant. They make the question, "How often should houseplants be watered?" irrelevant. BLUMAT BOTTLE ADAPTERS
Recycle your plastic bottles and auto water for about one week
Bottle adapters don’t look as good as our Glass Globes but they’re less expensive and give you a good way to recycle plastic bottles. Their tapering, universal tip fits into a wide range of bottle sizes, just poke a hole in the bottom to let air in and the water slowly out. We usually cut the entire bottom off so you can fill them with a watering can. This saves time but also means you will need to clean or replace them more often; adding a little hydrogen peroxide once in awhile also helps with cleaning and prevents algae.

Waters for about 1 week and adds a beautiful addition to your plants
Often the best solutions for watering houseplants, these hand-blown glass globes look beautiful, make your watering job easier, and keep your plants healthy and happy without needing electricity, power, batteries, or timers. HOUSEPLANT VACATION KIT
Automatically water for weeks when you’re on vacation or just super busy
Blumat Classics are the ideal houseplant watering solution for when you travel. These porous ceramic cones are placed near the plant and connected to a main line that is attached to a reservoir. If you have a row of larger plants, instead of needing to use several water containers, you can use the Houseplant Vacation Kit. This product self-waters 10-12 large plants and keeps them well-watered for 2 weeks or more while you are on vacation. Because large plants need more water than small plants, this kit will also save you a huge amount of time when you're at home. You can water the plants close together or when they are far apart.</p><p>You can add more classics to the main 8mm line or add another kit and second bulkhead fitting to the same bucket to extend your watering output.
