DIY Garden: Blumats
Blumat Inline Classic
These passive irrigation emitters deliver water directly to your containers based on soil moisture — no electricity, timers, or pumps required. Designed to be used with 8mm supply tubing and a reservoir, each unit uses soil tension and capillary action to draw water only when it’s needed, helping maintain consistently healthy moisture levels for your plants. As the soil around the ceramic cone dries, it pulls moisture out of the cone. This creates a suction effect that draws water from a connected reservoir through the 8mm tubing, rehydrating the cone and surrounding soil. When the soil is moist, the flow slows or stops entirely. Water Output: ~50–150 ml per 24 hours (varies with reservoir height and soil dryness) Recommended For: Pots up to 10" in diameter For Larger Pots: Use multiple sensors for even coverage Each unit connects inline to your reservoir with our 8mm supply line using the included T-connector and operates independently based on local soil moisture. Reservoirs can be placed at the same level as your containers or elevated to increase flow. The higher the reservoir, the more water is released.

As the soil dries out, it pulls moisture from the ceramic cone, which in turn draws water from your reservoir through 8mm tubing. When the soil is moist, the flow naturally slows or stops. Water Output: ~75–200 ml per 24 hours (varies with reservoir height and soil dryness) Recommended For: Pots between 10"–15" in diameter For Larger Pots: Use multiple sensors for even coverage Each unit connects inline to an 8mm supply line using the included T-connector and functions independently in response to local soil conditions. Reservoirs can sit level with your containers or be elevated to increase flow. Raising the reservoir increases water output.
