Traditional Drip Irrigation

     Although the history of drip irrigation goes back to the Babylonians, modern drip systems represent one of the most important agricultural innovations of all time.  
     They can save over 60% of the water used with flood irrigation, increase yields from 20 to 40%, cut labor costs down to almost zero, decrease the expense of big pumps and high electricity bills, decrease fertilizer costs, and maintain a more constant moisture level that increases microbe and soil health. 
     Because they provide water more slowly, the moisture goes deeper, the roots follow giving them access to more nutrients and making the plants stronger and more healthy.
