Use this manometer at the end of your water supply lines in gravity systems to make sure there is enough pressure and to adjust carrots for maximum flow rate. Water should go up 4'-5' in the clear tube with carrots all the way open. (Then adjust down to normal setting.) This can also help adjust Blumat sensors in pressurized systems but shouldn't be needed if the BluSoak Flow controllers are installed.
Installation Instructions:
Attach IG16217 Measuring tool to the end of your water supply line. If with a good valve (globe valves hardest to find but work the best) you can adjust the water level in the tube until it's 2-3' up. At that point, the soaker hose when on will use about 1/4 gallon per foot per 24 hours. The amount of water is in the same ratio as the water level - e.g. if you double the height, you will double the water flow.
